Exclamation Cannot connect to .edu sites or Microsoft.com

I'm using FireFox on a MacBook Pro. I've been trying to access my school's website for about 3 weeks now and am unable to do so. I keep getting an error message that says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server". The same thing happens when I try and access any other website ending in .edu . I've had no problems accessing the site from other computers except this one. Also, I am unable to access Microsfot.com or any other web page ending in ".microsoft.com" .

Any suggestions?? PLEASE HELP!

Can you access the sites if you put www in front of the address? I've noticed on some campuses, they don't properly fix the www vs non-www issue.

You may want to try a Mac site. This is primarily a PC forum and we don't really have many Mac experts here.
