News Letter Mac vs. PC

I am a member of PCMech. The website has been a great help to me. I have question about the resent newsletter PC Versus Mac.
1. How does Mac have such great resolution on their monitors?
2. Can I get the same resolution on a PC with Windows XP…Windows 7 as the MAC?
I see the MAC at Best Buy the resolution is Awesome?

3. How about the Ipod resolution?
4. Are they any companies competing for MP3 market against Apple?

1) Their monitors are large.

2) Yes, you'd need to purchase a larger monitor and make sure the video card supports the larger resolution. Onboard video might not.

3) Depends on which iPod. The touch is 320x480, the current classic is 320x240, and the latest nano is 240x376. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod

4) Yes, there are a handful of brands, but haven't nearly saturated the market as well as Apple's products (they certainly don't have the budget Apple does for marketing). Sandisk, Cowon, Samsung, LG, Creative, Reigncom, and so on all produce their own MP3 players or MP3/video players.

You can purchase the same quality and resolution monitors for less than the Apple brand monitors. You may have to spray paint it white though.
