MacBook Pro i7 10.6.4 HDD upgrade

Are there any 1TB HDD upgrades that are possible for my MacBook Pro?
If so could someone send me a Newegg link for that HDD : )

7200rpm 500GB:

It looks like 500GB is the largest available for laptop drives.

However, if you're looking for extra storage, I'd recommend an external drive--specifically, the Western Digital Passport drives. They's small and powered only by USB.

If you don't care about size or power requirements, you can build your own.

Some external enclosures here:
Guide: Building your own External Hard Drive

And I'd recommend a Western Digital Green drive.

I don't see why not.

Just note, that drive you linked to is a 5200rpm drive. A bit slower than 7200rpm drives.

Ya I know - I even special ordered my Mac so I would have the 7200RPM
But I have 250Gigs of music and I share my drive with Windows 7 witch I need for some other things I do. From what Iv heard there isn't really a major deference one would actual notice.

Do you think if would slow down my loading speed in serato ?

The booting process may be slower. If you multitask, performance will take a small hit. Basically, any time anything fights for read/write access on the drive will result in a small performance hit.

If this is your primary computer, I wouldn't generally recommend a slower drive. However, if you simply use it as a portable workstation, it's usually not much of an issue.
