David: Lots of good info here. Emailed you once before & you directed me to the forums. With all the info on this my troubles are not improving. Wrote to Freakitchen moderator on Drives etc. Three weeks no answer. DISAPOINTED; If you can help, great, if not I guess I will depart.
RAIDMAX tower, ASUS board, AMD processor. 4 SATA outlets and SATA software onboard. I bought three 500GB SATA Drives toreplace original 180GB IDE. Read about formating etc. still not recognized. I feel stupid for a BS in CIS!! Must admit to not using my skills much since 2003. Went to the web, got PE Builder, XML Imaging and all suggested because I now hear clicks from the original hard drive and feel it is failing. I have XP PRoSP2. I started the process of making the Builder file but when I install the XP PRO Disc I get a message saying the installation files are the wrong version??? SO.....I went out and bought a new disc with SP2 Included. It will be here in a week or so.

Hi David,

I am one of the Premier member of PCMECH EDU and had an all access pass on the original site. My login name and password were the same as I used for this pcmech.com site, so now I'm trying to login as myself (rmalloy) and access the PCMECH EDU stuff and I'm not being allowed any privileges.

I've belonged to pcmech.com since 10-28-1999 and the EDU since February...

Can you straighten this out so I can get to everything I'm entitled.
