I remember you mentioning you have the same set-up as me (P67 Sabertooth and i7-2600k) and I was wondering if this happens to you when you overclock. If you restart or turn on your PC does it start, then stop, then start again a few times before it finally goes to the BIOS and then into Windows? I had this happen to me when I turned on the performance option in the BIOS.
