I have 3 pcs on my home network, 98SE, ME and W2K. All in the same workgroup and I can ping each machine from one another. The ME and W2K machines can see each other when I search in network neighbourhood but not the 98 machine.
98 pc can only see itself. |

sounds like a protocol problem to me.
check if u have all the neccecairy protocols installed. so tcp/ip, client for microsoft networks, etc. |

What are you using for protocols? Use tcp/ip for internet and Netbeui for filesharing. I've read of some problems with win98 machines seeing win2k and vice versa on the M$ website, you may want to check it out. HTH
