Question dsl questions...need help

2 computers; 1 is dsl (mine) and 1 is 56k (hers); both win xp; both on same telephone line; all works fine but every time 56k wants to go online, I have to turn off sprint external 645m modem. question: I want to add 56k pc (using d-link router I already have) to dsl. problem: person with 56k pc does not want to lose her AT&T email address. (she had it for 10 years) Can I install ethernet card in her pc, take out 56k card, use router and hook her up to dsl, and still retain her outlook express page with her at&t email address?

You can do that. BUT, she'll be able to "receive" her email from AT&T but NOT be able to send from that account.

Reconfigure her Outlook Express. Keep the same POP3 server and username/password, but change the SMTP server to the DSL provider. If the SMTP requires authorization, use YOUR login settings in the authentication settings.
