Are USB wireless adapters just as good as PCI ones?

I have been looking into getting a wireless network set up and Iv been seeing these USB network adapters such as this one http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...157-021&depa=1 around a lot. They are cheaper than the normal PCI type adapters but are they just as good? I cant find a whole lot of info about them but will they work just as well as the normal cards. Alls I need is a 11mps connection and the other comps are going to be right across the hall from the router. Thanks for any help.

Allot of people don't like USB because of some install issues. USB and Network are not the best terms to hear in one sentence.

However I have a trusty USB wireless device I keep around that works just fine. I also have some PCI wireless that work well too.

As long as the computer isn't acient a good USB one will probably be fine.

i have installed a lot of usb devices, and all of them have been fine. i have always used linksys cards because of personal preference. some people don't like their cases being opened, others just get it because of it being the cheaper one that week at best buy. i have never had a problem and would recommend them to anyone that doesn't have an ancient computer like byte 2.0 said

I avoid USB networking unless there's no other reasonable option - my experiences with USB in general just aren't reliable enough for me. Yes, it *can* work well, but then again, it can drive you nuts.
