using a switch to share DSL connection

Is it possible to share the connection with 3 other PCs? I know a router would be better but this guy doesn't want to buy anymore hardware.

I thought I read some where that you could hook one PC directly to the DSL modem then have a second network card that hooks up to the switch. Is this right?

TIA

you will need to enable ICS and use two NIC's in the computer that has the connection, and then go to the switch.

the computer with the connection will need to be on, for the others to share the connection.

WIN98 SE has support. WIN98 FE doesn't.
