I got my AT&T installed today and said good bye to Knology. This new connection is a lot faster than the old. Before about my best average throughput speed was 600K to 650K but this new deal consistantly connects at from 927K to 1077K. Not a bad increase at all. Now I don't know why I waited so long to switch.

I have AT & T here in MO. It was the same as your connection speed when I first had it installed. After a few months they capped my upload speed at 128, to stop some others from running servers. Download is still way up there. I know it is not a really big deal, but it sure slowed my file transfers and e-mails way down. Still I can't complain.

My best guess is that AT&T uses fast quality equipment like Cisco and Juniper and the other cable guys use whatever is cheapest. I couldn't believe there could be that much difference.
