second thought, lycos sidesearch spyware

The second thought and lycos sidesearch spywares keep installing themselves whenever my xp system is connected to the net. adaware and spysweeper remves them but they keep coming back.

Try Spybot Search and Destroy...if it finds somethign it can't remove it will remove it when you boot your system next. Also see if you are running a process called awi.exe, that thing hides in the background and installs a bunch of software including what you mentioned.
