Hotel DSL and MSN Messenger Troubles
Well I am out of state and am currently in a hotel that has free "In-Room High Speed Internet Access" of which I want to use to a minimalist amount, MSN and internet. Internet, as I bet you have guessed, works just fine. What doesn't is my MSN.
It displays a message similar to me not being able to connect because I am not connected to the internet. I am though. I don't really know what could cause this as the extent of my networking skills stops at my router at my house. ANy idea's as to what I might be able to do to make it recognize my connection? Help a poor teenage, MSN dependant soul out ![]() EDIT: Well first time on Tech Support(called a new number) and I get nothing. They claim that traffic is going through to microsoft servers or something like that. No connection made. Now I can't even go to Microsoft.com!!! Anyone else having trouble loading it or am I alone? Bump? Only here another 2 days, but with nothing to do, getting to talk to friends instantly(e-mail can be somewhat more tedious) would be great!
Hum de dum... Still can't get to microsoft.com... |

Nothing you can do - ports have to be opened in the router and the hotel ain't gonna do that.

Well darn... I guess that's what I get for believing them when they said that nothing was being blocked... Now I am free of that though... still think its weird that microsoft.com couldnt load.
