Question Intermittent Internet DSL Connection Problems

My company has dsl and 2 people are having intermittent internet connection issues. They can connect to our server and use outlook and other shared items on the server but when they start Internet Explorer they will be able to connect sometimes and others not, at different times. They could close IE and open it again 10 secs later and it works, or might have to try a few more times.

I have done the following to try to resolve the issue:

Replaced cable from computer to wall, and wall to router.

Changed the tcp/ip address - assigned.

Below are things I have tried based on Microsofts Knowledge Base Article 163391 - Troubleshooting Problems Communicating on the Internet.

Because of the intermittent problem I could walk over there that moment and try and it will work, but I have tried pinging microsoft.com, our router, other computers etc. When I do this I can get the router, and other computers but nothing past that.

Any help or suggestions on this would be appreciated as I am not finding any solutions that work for a dsl connection problem. And it is wierd that it is only happening with 2 computers on the network. Both computers are running Win 2000 and server is Win2000 Server.

Thanks,
Jen
