Too many running processes?

I saw a thread here last week with instructions on which keys to press to get a list of running processes in XP Pro. Try as I might I haven't been able to find it again.

Can someone here please instruct me as to the procedure?

Thanks!

Just press
Ctrl-Alt-Del, then click the "Processes" tab.
Easy as that!

Right-click on the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen and choose Task Manager, you will get the Windows Task Manager, then click on Processes.
If you minimize the Windows Task Manager you will see the CPU Usage continuously.
The CPU Usage can also be seen on the Windows Task Manager - Performance.

Once you get your list up and you are able to view it you might find www.answersthatwork.com helpful. It will help you identify many of those processes so you can get rid of the ones you don't need.
