Angry Fire Wireless PDA on home network connection problem.

I recently bought a SMC2642W wireless card for my iPAQ 3635 and I am having issues getting
it to work with my network. I will try to give a brief discription of my network below.

- DSL connection routed through a Linksys 4-port router.
- On the network I have a Uniden wireless router WNR2004 configured to be a hub.
- From that hub I have two machines running on it.
- Desktop runnign WinMe
- Laptop running Win98 (wireless)

- On the iPAQ from the Wireless LAN settings menu I can see the Uniden router
- My signal and link bars are maxed out

- I am unable to ping any of the other machines on my home network. (All the other machines can see each other)
- I do not see any activity lights blink on the wireless router when I try pinging via the iPAQ.

Do I look at the iPAQ as the wirelless laptop is working?

Thanks

Did you download/load the Win CE drivers for your PDA?

Yes, the drivers were installed via the CD that came with the CF WiFi card.

Will the CE read NTFS or FAT natively?

I would think you would have to have syncing software installed on the machine/s you want to see... is it?

If possible, check the card for functionality in another device (like a laptop)....

Other deivices work fine. The card in the PDA works fine. The router does not seem to be recoginixing the PDA is what I am thinking.

Are you sure TCP/IP is installed on the Ipaq and is it pulling a proper IP address?

I'd personally exchange that Uniden for a standalone wireless access point or use it for everything retiring the Linksys - I've never had good luck trying to use a wireless router as a standalone WAP in a system that already has a router. Does the Uniden have the latest firmware?
