internet explorer not working
My internet explorer has suddenly stopped working. i didn't change any settings or anything, but now whenever I open up my homepage it says the page can not be displayed and if i try to type a url in the address bar i get an error saying "internet explorer cannot open up the seach page" and then displays a white screen. msn explorer works (which is what i'm using now), so does online gaming and IM so i don't kow what the problem is. i would be very grateful if anyone could help me diagnose my problem.
thank you |

Might possibly be a browser hijacker, might not.
Try Tools, Internet Options, Programs tab. Click "Reset Web Settings". If this works, or not, then run CWShredder.exe. This will detect and remove the many flavors of Cool Web Search. |

Sorry, I should have included this link to CWShredder. The file is only 144KB. You'll need to close Internet Explorer before executing. |

You will need tools such as Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware. Please start a new thread in the Security forum if CWShredder doesn't take care of it, you have been hijacked by spyware and removal procedures can get quite involved.
