Network cards not working in harmony
I've got two network cards in my PC, one wired, one wireless.
I have been using the wireless connection exclusively for a while with the other network connection disabled. However the wireless network is going down for a while so I need to use the wired one again. I thought this would be as simple as disabling the wireless connection and enabling the wired one but it isn't. Basically everything looks correct - it gives a connected status and ipconfig shows the correct settings required. However there is no connection - pinging the gateway server never gets a response. Has anyone got any suggestions why this might be happening? Cheers DJ |

Disabling and enabling the required cards followed by restarting the PC works. The network cards don't have the same IP address so I've no idea why this is needed - surely if I wanted I could have both cards enabled at the same time???
