network connection is disconnected (SP2) problem

I just installed the New SP2 update. Now I cant get online.
I have a D-link wireless router, and its tells me that "the network connection is disconnected". It was working fine before the update. Now I cant do a system restore either.
Do I have to download a new D-link driver? I'm really not sure what to do.........

Have you been through the ton of new firewall settings in XP?

Is your nextwork card looking ok in device manager?

SP1 came with the firewall default off, SP2 the default is on, check that first. My SP2 upgrade was painless.

You should check your tcpip settings in the network connections. It's possible your setting were changed. Usually you want it to say 'obtain an IP address automatically'. I read somewhere someone had a similar problem as yours and switched this setting.
