Internet connection problem

Hello,

I am started having problem with intenet connection and will appreciate help in troubleshooting.

This is a new problem with my home pc (win xp) The connection is via cable modem.

All of a sudden I cannot browse the internet and I get a DNS error. At that time I check ipconfig and everything seems fine and I can see IP address - also I am able to do /relese and /renew even though I cannot browse the web.

Things become ok after I reboot but only until I have the same problem again after a while.

I have on-board SiS PCI ethernet.

If anyone can help me troubleshoot this I will appreciate very much.

ipconfig/flushdns

Check your hosts file.

Google search for winsockxpfix, download it, run it.
