dial up sharing problem

i have 2 computers computer 1 has a dial up connection to the internet and computer 2 is connected to computer 1 with a crossover cable.
i am sharing the dial up connection. This works fine and computer 2 can ask computer 1 to dial and it does and connects and i can surf the internet . but computer 2 says that the dial up conection is disconected all the time and to disconect from internet i have to go to computer 1.

Does anyone know how i can fix this problem.

thanks

I have similar set up , I can't disconnect from computer #2 either , but I have set computer #1 to automatically disconnect if idle for a set period of time or connection may no longer needed. Go to Internet Explorer>tools>internet options>Connections >settings>advanced.

I'm using Microsoft's Internet Connections Sharing , if you are using something else there may be a different way to enable disconnect.
