PS2 networking problem

I was planning to connect my ps2 to my pc using a cat5 cable and ICS. However, no matter what I seem to try, the computer never recognises the connection. I know the network card works, because I frequently use it to share a connection between my computer and my brothers laptop.

Can anyone help out?
Thanks

Are you using a crossed cable, or a hub/switch/router ?

Try a straight patch cable instead of a crossover.
