DSL Intermittent

Specs first I guess. Windows XP Pro. Have all the current updates. My ISP is through Verizion, BUt I believe this is a PC issue. I have changed my DSL modem and had the Tech come out and run all new line to the house. When it works, its fine but when it does not work I get no erros it just says done in the bottom of the page and the screen will be blank with the exception of the browser stuff up top. I also tried to replacing my Either net card. Still no luck. Also I have no virus scanner and my wondows fire wall is set at medium. I havent tried using the USB on the modem to the computer. I dont know if that will work or not. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Does it quit working while using the pc or after you've let it sit for a while?

If it's after you let it sit, go into device manager->nic properties and turn off the power saving feature.
