what is the difference between Private IP and Public IPif i want to create a FtP/File Server do i use the Prviate IP or Public IP what else do i need |

in other words, your private IP is the one behind your router(im assuming your behind a router), and the public one is the one everyone can see. you must open up a port for your router, and see this great site to see how to do so: www.portforward.com

if i am behind a router, how would i use my external IP address to set up FTP since i use non-static ip internet connection. can anyone help me
