I am trying to install IE6 (6.0.2800.1106) on my windows NT 2000 SP4 Toshiba laptop. The file downloads ok but when I try to extract ie6setup.exe I get the following message.
A previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer to complete that installation before running Internet Explorer set_up. Re-booting makes no difference. As far as I'm aware I have had no previous installation problems. Since I have just purchased AutoCAD LT which requires IE6 I would appreciate some advice in this connection. Note: I presently have IE5 installed and running Last edited by bmoyes; 09-29-2004 at 08:37 AM. |

What happens if you go to MS updates? Does it detect IE5 and suggest you upgrade?
