getting acess to a gateway thru a router??

hi, i am running a linkesys wireless router , connected to a adsl gateway (thompson). both are running a dhcp service (just hooked it up when i bought the router, and it worked, so i left it alone) i was wondering if i could acess the gateway thru the router?

Only if they are in the same subnet - which they probably are not if it's working with both running DHCP.

Here's my recommendation - if it's possible, switch the gateway into the bridge mode and let the router handle everything.
