D-Link DI-624 issues (Outlook & Network Issues)

I got Verizon FIOS installed one week ago and the installation included a D-Link DI-624.

After some minor set-up issues as I was migrating from DSL things seemed to be up and running.

I actually have two questions for the forum.

I can receive e-mail using MS Outlook (not express) and can surf on this machine fine. Sending e-mail is the problem. In dealing with D-Link they told me to change my MTU number from 1500 to 1400. It worked, for one e-mail to my yahoo account as a test. Verizon does not seem to be helpful eaither. Now I am back to nothing.

What do I do so that I can get back to sending e-mails?

The second question is why do only two out of the three machines connected via wire connect to the internet? Could it be an OS thing? It sees the router?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Are you using POP3 email accounts? If so, you'll need to make sure that your SMTP (outgoing) email server is configured correctly. If you're using Verizon as your ISP then it will be one of their servers that you'll be using.

Not sure about the second issue.
