Recently, when I connect to my Internet service provider (Bell South.net). I am plagued with a series of windows that ask me to update Internet Explorer. When I click the red X tab (at the top right of the window), a few seconds later, I get the same window back!!! How can I prevent this from happening? I am using Windows XP Home (SP1). I have both Internet Explorer and NetScape Navigator installed and on my desktop.
Please help!!! Thank you. |

The ONLY site to trust for any MS updates is the official Windows Updates site. Open IE, select Tools at the top and then select Windows Update from the drop down. Anything else is a gimmick to get you to load some kind of Spyware/Adware.
