new and old
I have one question. I just got a new computer and would like to be able to share my Internet, which is broadband cable Internet, with my older one computer. Can I just use a router to connect the two computers or is there more to it? I also have been having a hard time getting my new one connected. According to the tech I called, he said I need to contact my Internet provider, because it`s something to do with them why my new computer won`t connect, while my older one still can. I would hate it if I did call them up and some how not be able to share my Internet with my older computer. The new one’s Op system is XP home, and the older one is 98se. Thanks for any help.

Just get a router and connect the cable modem and both computers to it. Power off the modem for 15 minutes to reset the MAC and you should be in business. It truly is that simple.
