Can't get a network connection
I just built a pc that has onboard LAN, on my other pc I could just select obtain IP address automatically and it would work fine. The mother board I have is an Asus P4R800 deluxe. I installed the drivers that came on the motherboard disk. Is it possible that the rj-45 connection in the mobo could be bad? Or maybe it just needs newer drivers? Any suggestions why I cannot connect to the internet? It connects to a linksys router, but I even had the main dsl line plugged into the rj-45 connection on the pc and still couldn't get a connection. Thanks for any help.

Open a command prompt. (Start - run - cmd)
Type IPCONFIG/ALL - and post the results. To copy and paste from that window, just highlight it and hit Enter, then paste using standard Windows methods. |
