What would work?

What type of router would work best with 1 computer using xp home and the other using 98se. Thanks for any suggestions.

Do you just want to share an internet connection, or do you plan on sharing files, printers? I would just look at Netgears, Dlinks or Linksys wireless routers. Even if you don't use the wireless function right away, you have the option if you need it in the future. I grabbed a Netgear wireless router WR614 for like $35 after rebates at Fry's. It can hold up to 4 hardwired connections and it has the wireless access point which rocks with my laptop.

The one glc gave you is a good choice. Also check out any of the linksys routers.

I have exactly the setup you are looking at. My main computer is using XP Home and my second computer is Win98SE and I use the D-Link DI-604. (as GLC recommended to you) It's relatively inexpensive and comes with a built in hardware firewall and is easy to set up.
