different OS, one network?

i have 4 pcs on my home network. WinXP home, Win XP Pro, Win2k, and Win98. when they were all first put on they worked fine. now the Pro machine doesn't see anything on the network, the win2k only sees the home and the win98 only sees the pro and win2k. its all messed up.

could it be that different OSs all one one network don't work?

no.
all the O/S's will work fine together, as long as they are all on the same workgroup, and the items that are shared are not pasword protected and the proper permissions are granted,
I have the same thing here in my shop with no problems.
double check all your settings
