Linksys WMP54G problem

Hi guys,I having a problem unistalling a WMP54G card from my computer.I am running Win98 SE on a Abit KV7 board.I have 1 gig ram.Maxtor 60 gig HD.I use an Athlon XP 2800 processor.I use Linsys wireless -G all around the house on 3 desktops and 2 laps with no problems until now.I decided on the above mentioned machine to just hardwire it because of it's remoteness I could not get a good signal. The problem is that once you remove the WMP54G card the computer will not boot up.It just boots a little way and just stops. If you put the card back in the machine will boot right up.Things I have done-I have uninstalled the Linksys software and utillity.I have removed it in device manager and made sure it was gone from add-remove programs.I did find files and folder search and removed the entries I found I also searched the registry and removed the entries there.I also removed the adapter in the network adapter area.I am really at a loss as to what to check next.I guess I could just leave the card in and not use it but that sounds kind of stupid.I think that I am missing something real obvious and would appreciate any help.Linksys tech support was of no helpThey gave me a few things that I have already tried. Thanks for any help.Harry
