win 98se help
How do I find the ip address for 98se? It`s not the same as XP home.

it is the same:
go to the comand prompt and type ipconfig, this will show you the ip address for that computer, it should be something like this: 169.168.1.xxx x's being the numbers for that computer |

Yup. And in the properties of "My Network Places" or "Network Neighborhood", you can set a static IP if you want.
Also, two computers in a network can't have the same IP. RJ

98 se
when I do that it starts to come up but then goes away. It pops up then goes away. I have tried turning off the fire wall, then the ant-virus, then the pop up blocker, still just pops up then gone, but it will load the info.

type in winipcfg. That'll work. You may have to choose an adaptor from the drop down list, if their's nothing listed their.
