Internet pages close out on me

ok, for some reason, just at random times, the website that im looking at, it can be anything, sometimes even pcmech! will just close randomly if I close out of another window thats open. For example, say I have pcmech open on one window and a newegg window open, sometimes if I close out the window from newegg, IE will like quit on me and all my internet windows will close.....ive ran virus/adware/spyware scans, my internet conection is fine (cable modem) ummm I have windows xp pro Service pack 2, if you need any further system specs just ask and I can give them too you

That does not help FIX the IE problem, and you have been warned before about replies like this. Next time is a ban. Final warning.

I've had IE do that a time or two, not often, but I think it usually gives me a "has stopped responding" error. Have you gotten any errors with it? Or noticed in task manager that anything's stopped responding? What are the sys specs?

When did this first start? Has it always been happening? What are the rest of your specs?

Would his 'hosts' file have anything to do with this? I had a problem with "page cannot be displayed" and simply renaming 'hosts' to 'hosts.txt' fixed it likkity split.

hopefully you had it save the files that it was changing while it was being installed so that you could undelete it, if not maybe a restore point would help do the trick, not sure though.
