di-604 router & SBC Global DSL
Could someone please tell me what would be the best most stable way to set up a dlink di-604 router and speedstream 5100b modem for use with sbc global. The dlink site says to use PPPoE and "disable all of the yahoo software that came with your dsl modem". So now I'm confused again. SBC Global Tech Support says that they don't support PPPoE, but that I might want to look at it?? Please I need help badly. I really don't know what they mean by disable all of the yahoo software that came with it, How do I do that and still install the DSL modem??

When I set up SBC with a router, I uninstall ALL the Yahoo software and Enternet 300. Then I log into the router and set it up for PPPoE. You will be online in 5 minutes. If your Speedstream is one of the new multimode modems, set it up in the bridge mode.

Thanks so much for your help. I know how to Uninstall the yahoo software, but I'm not at that machine right now, so is the Enternet 300 software listed under programs to uninstall or is it somewhere else?

It will be in add/remove - it gets installed when you install the connection manager.
