Running on a thin cable
Yeah, and I'm wondering that is it possible to play modern multiplayer games like Half-Life with Direct Cable Connection (serial and/or Parallel?) between 2 computers? Is this connection fast enough to handle that? And does it has networking capabilities (like IPX/SPX, NetBEUI and TCP/IP) ?
And another question...
In Windows XP, when connected to a LAN, there's a tiny computers icon in the taskbar beside the clock. In Windows 98SE, the icon is present when doing Dial-Up but not LAN. How can I make the status icon for LAN to appear beside the clock? I've seen this in cybercafes equipped with Win98 several years ago...
