IP conflict on home network

I just set up a new PC on my hm netwrk. There are only 2 pc's running. I have them talking to each other but I keep getting a pop up stating that "There is an IP conflict with another system on the system".

Also for some reason i cant get online with the original PC now.
any hints are appreciated

If you are using a router, make sure all the computers are either obtaining IP address automatically -OR- are assigned different static local IP's.
