connecting to internet with 2 PCs
ok, the title doesn't really say what i want to do, but heres the problem.
I have 2 comps connected to 1 router. I play online games, but we want to use voice chat. With all the voice chat programs, I can connect to other people with 1 comp. But once the 2nd comp comes on, it messes up everything, the other comp discons, and even other people on the chat server. (well only 3 people total). They both have a seperate IP address. but I think maybe its because they are connected to the same router. When i go onto the chat server, it shows router address. So im guessing when the 2nd comp goes on, it uses the same router address, and it messes up, because you cant have 2 comps using 1 address? Is there a way to make 2 addresses for the router for each comp? |

Does this make any sense? or did i write this too complicated?
THe thing is, when i connect to a voice chat server, With both by comps, it messes up. I "THINK" its because the router. the chat server is not getting 2 IPs, its Using the router IP For both comps. So when one is connected, and as soon as the other comp joins, it messes up, beacuse it detects a 2nd comp using SAMe IP. any help??? |
