Need Help With Remote Connecting??????
i am trying to access a friends pc that is sitting on a different network then the one im on to help her with some problems she is having on her pc.my question is how do i log on to her pc. she currently has a a 192 ip address. is it even possible to remotely connect to a pc with a private ip. she is sitting behind a newtork hub at her house? she doesn't have access to connect her pc directly in to her cable modem. can i connect using windows remote connection?is there some special program that would allow me to connect her pc? im guessing i would need to know the public ip address as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated. both systems r running xp pro
thanks OB1 |

If you both have Outlook or instant messenger you can use Xp's remote assistance. Your friend will send you a request through either service you will recieve the request. You then will accept invitation and off you go. You can also take control of your friends computer and work remotely. I use it to help my brother in Mich. and I am located in VA.
