dialup getting disconnected at regular intervals / us robotics modem question
hi
i've posted here recently about problems with my dialup connection. i've noticed that the intervals at which i'm getting disconnected are pretty regular -- around 9-11 minutes. diagnostically, is there any significance to that fact, or is it irrelevant? also, per glc's advice, i've started looking into us robotics hardware modems. can any of you tell me anything about this model: 3cp5610a? thank you! |

well, i dont think it would be your modem, i think it may be something that you may have picked up while you were ont he net. Try doing a spyware/ virus scan. If that doesnt show anything, then I guess try contacting the us robotics and seeing if they have these problems.

i would also say run a virus scan. a firend of mine once had a virus that would dial 911 everytime he would try to get online!
