losing connection /w games ?

It seams when ever I play a game like mechwarriors, unreal tournament, diablo 2... I lose connection to the internet.when ever I'm done playing I can just click repair connection and it fixes it self. The big problem is When I play online games, with in about 30 sec I lose connection, thus I cant play. How do I fix this problem. I'm using comcast cable internet on a computer with a wireless connection (wireless g pci adapter) with a router on the network. It says I'm connecting at 24 mbps. I've tried turning off the firewall, downloading some simple programs that say they fine tune your connection, and running spyware doctor a couple times with no success.

Any full screen program seems to take me offline. I'm using microsoft network broadband utility if that helps.

where is the wireless router located, is it near microwaves, flourecent lightbulbs, etc. anything that makes radio waves can disrupt the signal, try hard wiring it, if your router supports RJ45, and see if the problem persists. that will at least rule out the wireless part of the problem.

It's a little far to hardwire and I don't have right hardware.
