Network Question
I have a simple question that i want to make sure i'm right on but i'm not sure if i'm right, so here is the question...
I have 1 computer that uses a cable modem. Now i have 2 routers one is wireless the other router is for my VOIP connection, now i have 1 ip address for my router and one for another router. Now i get a ip adress from my computer which is the ip address of the network card installed. Now i get that ip address from one of the routers thats connected to my nic card? Its all on one network the one for the computer has the same network address as the one for the 2 routers, obviously. So means the router has a built in dhcp thing going for it? |

Yes your router serves as a DHCP server also..
They don't have the same IP address though, nothing can have the same IP address as any other node on the network or you get an IP addess conflict and neither device works, but probably what U mean is you getting an IP address within your router/dhcp servers valid scope of IP addresses..
