Networking Printers
I have a basic peer-to-peer network set up at work. There are two printers that we use that I have connected to the network. One is connected to a computer and one is connected to a print server. They both work fine but for one program. Winfax's printing settings only print to a network printer automatically if the printer is set up with Auto before the printer name. ie Auto Hp Deskjet 750. The problem is I don't know how to set it up to have it this way. On another computer it automatically set it up like this but not the one I need. Let me know if anyone knows how to do this.
Thanks |

Which one is having the problems? The local printer on the computer or the network printer on the print server? Do any of these printers have network cards built in?

Both are not working automatically with winfax. Neither one has built in network cards. The main one that I need to work is the laser printer that is hooked up to the computer.

Control panel, folder options, View tab. The first box says something like automatically connect to network resources - this needs to be checked to get the "auto".
