Using a wireless access point with an ADSL router
I have a Dynamode ADSL modem/4 port router that 2 p.c.s and a laptop are hardwired into. This works great. However, I have a 3Com wireless card for the laptop so wish to make use of it. I purchased a X-micro wireless access point and have plugged this into one of the ports but my laptop will not connect to the "network". Very little network Knowledge, I fell for the plug and play stickers on the boxes!
Laptop is P4 running win2k Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Did the access point come with instructions and a setup CD? It does have to be configured, as does your 3Com card.
