DIsconection prob
HI i dont know if i should post here or in the security forum so pls move if it is the wrong place.
My problem is, just recently when i am surfing suddenly no web pages open etc .. i disconect and reconect it conects but then again nothing works! ok so i obviously thought virus, spyware etc so i scaned my computer with AD-ware and spybot adware finds a few enteries delete them, no help. my anti virus is pccillin internet security 2005 scan no virus it has a spyware scan as well and there, it finds this ''ADW_BADITOR.A'' i cleaned it and a few days later it finds it again could that be the problem? CLick here i tried to scan in safe mode adware and spybot dont find anything and for some reason pccillin dosent work in safe mode. any ideas on that ? PS i am running xp pro SP2 with an adsl connection. thanks in advance

Please wait more than an hour and a half before bumping a thread. Someone will help you when they find it.
Open a command prompt and type IPCONFIG/FLUSHDNS Google for "winsockxpfix", download it, and run it. It fits on a floppy. Look in your add/remove programs for anything that says lop or ezula - and remove it. |

Are you using any firewall?
I found that sometimes for some unexplainable reasons explorer won't open any web pages. It was due to my firewall(Zone Alarm) blocking EXPLORER from accessing the internet; reenabling access fixed my problems.
