comcast network help
Ok i had sbc yahoo dsl and we had to get rid of it because we kept getting an intermitten signal and we had a router set up to it. A wireless router and wireless lan cards and it worked when we had dsl. And now we just got comcast today and now we cant get the other computer to all run on the net at the same time only the one with the modem runs. Is there some settings that i have to change in my d link di 524(i believe is the correct model) so that it work i have all of them saying to get the ip addresses but it still dont work 2 systems have windows xp and one has windows 98 and the one with 98 has a lan card in it not wireless though can anyone help? The guy from comcast couldnt get it to work because they arent really familiar with that and i had to buy their networking things also if i wanted it through comcast. Any help would be greatly appreciated

you need the modem to be connected to a router and the router connecter to a switch, and the computers connected to the switch.
if you router already has a built in switch, that would be fine. then you should be fine to go. |
