Dsl/adsl
Sorry to post what is probably a silly question, but are DSL and ADSL compatible? I have broadband connected via a Speedcom ADSL USB modem. I have just purchased a Netgear WGR614v2 wireless DSL router and a D-Link DWL-G510 wireless DSL NIC to connect my other PC. Having read another thread, it seems I need an ethernet modem for my router to work. So if i buy a DSL ethernet modem, will my broadband work ok or will I have to buy ADSL router and NIC?

The DSL we refer to is actually ADSL (async. DSL, download is much faster than upload), so your broadband will work ok.
There are also QDSL, SDSL and a few more I believe, but I don't think it's available for the home user. Every DSL product you can buy, unless stated otherwise, is for ADSL. RJ
