how to browse files in vpn
i just set up a vpn to my xp pro box, and i was able to successfully connect to the computer. the only thing i cannot figure out is how to see the files on that computer that are shared

If it's in the same workgroup, I would think you would see it in My Network Places.

thats what i figured, too, but my buddy who was logging in couldn't see a thing. it showed him being connected, and he was in the same workgroup, and he even tried searching for the name of the pc, but it wasn't finding anything. when i setup the connection, i made sure i checked the "allow users to browse my files"

I know VPN = Virtual Private Network, but what does it actually mean?
