Bios password on Dell Laptop (need to bypass)

My buddy gave me a laptop that he didn't want because he couldn't get passed the bios password he forgot about (its an older pentium 3) and I told him I would look at it but I am looking over the motherboard on the laptop (removed the panel under the laptop and the keyboard) and I can't find a jumper or a dip switch to reset the cmos. Any ideas on how to bypass the bios password on this Dell laptop? Its a Latitude C600/C500. Thanks

Try looking up the user's manual on Dell's website. If not, take out the CMOS battery for 5-10 minutes then reinsert it. If that doesnt work, the battery may need to be out for a day or so in order for it to successfully reset.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything on dell's site about it besides "Call tech support" and I know they won't help me because its not registered in my name. I have the CMOS battery unplugged right now and i tried leaving it unplugged (and battery removed) for around 10 minutes but that didn't work. But I will try leaving it unplugged for 24 hours and see what happens.

I did some research though on google.com and some said there is an actual chip I need to bypass that has the numbers / letters "24C02" on it. Any thoughts?
