AVG Vault
I have the free version of AVG virus scan. When I move a virus to the vault there is an option to "wipe clean" or I guess this means delete; does this remove the selected item from my computer completely? I searched their help topics, but it only identifies the option. It does not go into depth of if "wipe clean" will remove that off my pc altogether. Thanks -Matt

Thank You for the reply Lobos. I was curious if removing from the vault as in "wipe clean" or delete removed it from my vault or removed it from my pc. So, once it is cleaned from the vault it is gone from my pc? I love AVG, but this seems a round about way to remove the infected file. What is the reason for moving it to a vault before removing it from my pc?

If it is an infected file that you might want to keep rather than just a virus itself, by moving it to the vault you get the chance to heal or repair the file at a later date should a cure be found, that way you don't lose the file altogether.
Personaly anything moved to the vault gets deleted and should I ever require that file in the future I would just find another clean source for it.
